Cemetery Dance Publications have announced the pre-order for ‘Detours’, featuring stories never published before by Stephen King, Clive barker, Peter Straub, Michael Koryta, Ray Bradbury, David Morrel, Michael Marshall, Chet Williamson, Michael Marshall Smith, Chet Williamson, Stewart O’Nan and Owen King.
I’m really honoured to have supplied an illustration for Stewart O’Nans story ‘The Ghost Ship’, pictured below.
Please click here, to find out more about the title and please take some time to check out Cemetery Dance’s other great publications.
Finally fixed this site and am able to post images here again,. So first of all, from this Saturday, 28th June, the Falmouth gallery ’64 Killigrew Street’ is holding a collaborative exhibition of works between Atlantic Press Books and Tiny Pencil. All details can be found at the link here: As Above So Below. There is even a ‘drawathon’ competition! My firts book ‘Fall’ was originally published by Collision, an imprint of Atlantic Press Books, so I have a couple of pieces being exhibited.
It has been awhile since i’ve updated the site here so over the next week i’ll be posting some images and news about projects i’ve been working on over the last few months, some really exciting things. In the meantime if you’re near Falmouth, Cornwall this following week drop by and check things out, failing that please take the time to click on the links and check out the great works of both publishing houses.
After a quick break away, orders are now being shipped and the various on line shops linked to Sawhorse Books operating on a next working day shipping service. My little holiday to Bergen also turned into a bit of a work/pleasure trip. I’ll upload images in the coming days, within which is contained a big hint to the next publication from Sawhorse Books. More very soon…..
Due to me taking a short break the Sawhorse shop, Etsy and Big Cartel shops will not be shipping products from the 18th Febuary until the 3rd of March, i am still able to receive orders and reply to any enquiries but as i am not near any stock during this time, the nearest shipping date will be Monday 3rd March.
Also am so happy to be able to share this point of sale that Waterstone’s in Truro, Cornwall have provided for ‘The Bone yard Ballet’. Really is so good of them to have supported the book in this way. Unfortunately at the moment i am unable to upload images to this website, a problem we have been really trying to fix for obvious reasons, so for the moment i have uploaded a picture to the Sawhorse Books facebook page here.
Hopefully technical issues with uploading images will be fixed very soon as i have new work and updates to share, quite frustrating.
Artwork prints are now available through my Etsy shop and Big Cartel, the latter also stocking books and tote bag.
More prints, original artwork and merchandise will be added soon.
Post Christmas greetings, I hope you all had a fantastic time, as the book arrived a little closer to the big day than I planned everything here was a little crazy, but the book launch went well and hopefully those who ordered books received them in time. It was nice to have a few days to put my feet up over the Christmas that’s for sure, a big thank you to those who made it along to the launch and I totally understand that a lot of you couldn’t. I hope those who have the book are enjoying it!
I’ve just added a gallery of ‘The Bone Yard Ballet’ with some extra images and spreads to the ‘Books’ section of the site, here
I have had a few mails asking about the availability of special editions, if you haven’t already pre-ordered a copy or copies, I’m afraid they have all gone. A further question from those who had pre-ordered a book is where on the site can you pay for reserved special editions, if you could please drop me an email at Sawhorse Books and i will get straight back to you.
The standard edition of the book is available through the shop. At the moment I can only accept card payments through Paypal or directly from a Paypal account, the shopping cart will link to the payment site.
Another question i’ve been asked is about the availability of original artwork and further artwork prints, a good few paintings have been sold but i will be uploading the remaining artworks very soon, or if you wish, please just drop me a line. Prints will become available in the 2nd/3rd week in January 2014.
I think that’s all for now as we head toward 2014!
Books arrived this afternoon, so here’s some pictures of the embossed covers and special editions. The standard copies are embossed both front and back, with an image of ‘Godfrey’ on the front and ‘Josephine’ on the back, there is no text at all on the covers just a simple design to catch the eye and hopefully lure the viewer to explore further. The special editions are encased in a plain black slipcase, with a ribbon to assist easy removal. I will up date with some spreads from the book tomorrow, as the typography, drop caps and use of space in the design are really something, Mark Woodhams who worked on the design has done a fantastic job. Unfortunately the lights in the studio are just reflecting off the pages tonight for me to do them justice. I will be opening the shop later tonight, probably 10/11 GMT by the time i have numbered and signed all the special editions. Anybody that has placed pre-orders i will be dropping you a mail in the few hours.
Book is removed
Book with slip case and ribbon
Tomorrow i receive delivery of the books so the shop will go live from early evening, please don’t worry that at the moment it says the items are out of stock, simply just a default setting while we were working on the shop. It’s very close to Christmas but as it stands at this moment Royal Mail state last post for first class parcels within the UK and special delivery should be 23rd at the latest. I will do everything I can to get orders out to meet these deadlines. To celebrate the release we’re having the launch at Cornwall Contemporary Gallery in Penzance, Cornwall, on saturday the 21st from 2-4pm. This will be accompanied by original artwork from the book on display, book signing and wine to warm the wintry cockles, all are welcome!
So ‘The Bone Yard Ballet’ finally rolled off the press yesterday, just the binding and embossing of the cover to go. A few details about the book, it is hard back in solid black, embossed images on the cover, spine and back, measuring 315x230mm landscape. Printed full colour on quality paper. Standard editions editions are limited to 900 editions at £14.99, the special 100 editions are slip cased in black with a black ribbon to help easy removal of the book, these are priced at £25.00. I’m currently updating the site, more details and photos to follow.
